Biography
Rebecca’s background is in OT security and governance, risk and compliance. She previously worked as a telecommunications engineer at bp before moving into cyber security and whilst in Accenture has led a number of projects across a range of security topics and industries including oil and gas, utilities, mining, financial services and public sector. She is currently the security account lead for a number of Accenture’s key clients in the Resources sectors.
Rebecca has always been passionate about inclusion and diversity and she led the Inclusion and Diversity team and the Accenture Scotland community for a number of years. This provided a forum for everyone in the community to feel represented and included, and an opportunity to learn about issues across I&D pillars. She is also a STEM Ambassador and has taken part in initiatives such as Cyber Scotland Week, where she took a group of high school pupils through a day in the life of a cyber security consultant and helped them get hands-on with an interactive cyber security lesson.
