Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations

The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) is the national membership body for Scotland’s vibrant voluntary sector.  They’re passionate about what the voluntary sector can achieve. Along with our community of 2,000+ members, they believe that charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups make Scotland a better place.

They champion the sector, provide services and debate big issues.  They lobby government on policy issues, create jobs for young people and support organisations to embrace and promote digital skills.  As part of their digital skills work, they provide education and support to third sector organisations to improve their cyber resilience.  They empower them with knowledge and simple actions they can take to ensure that their organisation is well placed to defend itself against a cyber attack.

Cyber resilience within SCVO is supported by 17 cyber catalyst organisations who have committed at Board level to act as cyber ambassadors for the third sector.  They support and help them in their work, which is closely aligned to the Scottish Governments’ third sector cyber action plan.
