Learning Zone

Through our Learning Zone, we provide staff, whatever their role and level of experience, with apps and resources to help them develop their knowledge and skills. These are completely free, and staff can work through them at their own pace. One of the resources is aimed at helping social service workers stay secure online.

The SSSC 23 Things Digital programme provides basic digital capabilities resources and was inspired and influenced by the University of Edinburgh’s 23 Things programme. You don’t have to be registered with the SSSC to take part in the 23 Things.

Business email compromise: defending your organisation

This guidance helps small to medium sized organisations deal with businessemail compromise (BEC). It provides actions to help businesses reduce thelikelihood of being affected by BEC, and includes steps to take if you think yourorganisation has already been compromised.

Online Safety and Security Badges

SSSC have created 8 Online Safety and Security Open Badges, which are aimed at assisting people with staying safe and secure online. Open Badges are digital records of achievements and skills that are tied to assessment and evidence. Unlike paper certificates, Open Badges are manageable online.
