The Safer Internet Day consultation with young people currently identifies protection from scams as a top priority, making this the main focus for this year’s Safer Internet Day campaign.

The Digital Youth Work Conference, organised by YouthLink Scotland, is primarily aimed at youth workers and aims to provide information, resources and good practice to help them support young people’s online lives.

Youth workers from across Scotland and beyond will participate in the day along with others working with young people or seeking to develop and support the sector and understand the importance and reach of this work – all are welcome to attend.

Safer Internet Day is the UK’s biggest celebration of online safety, as well as an international campaign. Each year the event covers an online issue or theme that speaks about the things young people are seeing and experiencing online. Created in consultation with young people across the UK, this year Safer Internet Day will be focusing on the issue of scams online and for young people, how to protect themselves and others, as well as what support is available to them.
