Who is Steph Wright:
Steph is currently playing a leading role in the delivery of Scotland’s AI Strategy’s vision for Scotland to be a leader in the development and use of TRUSTWORTHY, ETHICAL and INCLUSIVE AI.
Co-founder of Diverse AI, working to support and grow diversity in the field of AI.
Listed on 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics 2023.
A data science enthusiast with specific experience in the healthcare domain. Especially passionate about the potential of data in improving healthcare for all.
A versatile professional with project and programme expertise in research, events and communications with 20 years of experience in a wide range of sectors including film/TV, the arts, higher education and the technology sector.
An abundance of experience in building and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders and bringing them together in collaborations.
Passionate about diversity in STEM and the wider tech sector. Mentor on the STEMAspire programme and the Aurora programme.
Member of the Board of Trustees of The Children’s Parliament.
Led on Data Lab’s support of the Scottish Government in the development of a national artificial intelligence strategy for Scotland. Now heading up the Scottish AI Alliance (a partnership between The Data Lab and the Scottish Government) the body responsible for the delivery of the vision for Scotland to become a leader in the development and use of trustworthy, ethical and inclusive AI.
