Security Responses in Software Development

Security Responses in Software Development

This session will present research conducted during Motivating Jenny, an ethnographic project that examined security practices within two small and medium enterprises in the UK. Findings will be shared about how developers commonly respond to security demands within their teams and organisations. The session will include examples that arise in practice and invite participants to share their own approaches to handling security related tasks in organisational environments.

The session aims to provide managers and teams with an expanded language for allocating security tasks, improving team collaboration, and which individuals can use to advocate for better security in their work.
